Whatever happened to this one?

Woman dies after being hit by car that was fleeing prior crash, Phoenix police say

A woman died after being hit by a car that had just fled the scene of another crash involving serious injuries, Phoenix police said… At about 6:20 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to calls of a crash involving two cars near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road.
The driver of the BMW hit a woman driving a Toyota Camry, witnesses told police. The woman was taken to the hospital with “serious injuries,” Phoenix police said. Witnesses told police that the BMW driver fled the scene… Officers then learned that the same driver had hit a woman who was walking before crashing into a fence. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died, police said… The driver of the BMW also left that scene, police said. Officers checked the home where the car was registered and found the driver, who had serious injuries.

June 2026 fatal crash… What is the suspect’s name? good luck finding out… so far Phoenix police have only said “24-year-old male” and he would be arrested after he was released from hospital as he suffered “serious injuries” (ha ha, how serious could his injuries have been if he literally ran away from the scene?). In any event, I would guess he’s out of the hospital. Why do police insist on protecting the identity of criminal suspects?
