HardyDrBefore_01.JPG - Hardy Dr "before"Streetscape project completed early 2015. This is Hardy between 12th St and 12th Pl. BL-stripe-to-BL-stripe was ~ 29' -- that is 10' / 9' /10' lanes; curb-to-curb is just shy of 40' meaning BL gross width was about 5' each (including gutter pans). Also, south of 13th St, Hardy widens quite a bit to ~ 46' -- as usual, the extra width goes to the "car lanes" and BL stays cramped. These real dimensions seem to be a bit different that the claimed existing dimensions here http://www.tempe.gov/home/showdocument?id=8822 E.g. they claim the BLs are 6'. and 6'4". No way. There's a notation on that document that states measurement of road width is "to back of curb"; whatever that means... I think it means they claim the width of the curb is in the BL!
