Is it illegal to ride on the sidewalk in Scottsdale if there is no Bike lane? Where do you find out about Scottsdale Bike laws?
Hi Tammy,
There is a link to Scottsdale’s Code of Ordinances on my main page: azbikelaw.org, just scan down for “Scottsdale”. I looked and didn’t see anything about sidewalks — which means that it is legal to ride on sidewalks unless there is a “no riding” sign.
More info about sidewalks here.
You must give way to pedestrians. Sidewalk riding is generally not recommended because of the extra conflicts at driveways and intersections.
Please see the disclaimer.
